Conference participants can apply for financial support to offset some of the costs of travel and registration. Applications are due by April 1, 2018.
Priority will be given to students and early-career researchers. Due to NSF restrictions, priority will also be given to U.S. citizens and permanent residents as well as foreign employees or students of U.S. institutions eligible for NSF funding. There may still be limited funding available for those who do not meet these restrictions. Flights reimbursed by the NSF must be on US-based airlines (or US flag carriers).
Accommodation costs can only be reimbursed for those staying in the dorms.
Requests for funding that come from undergraduate or graduate students must be accompanied by a short letter of support from an advisor or mentor. These letters should be sent by email to perms2018@gmail.com, with the student's name in the subject line, by April 1, 2018.
Even if your attendance is dependent on whether your abstract is selected, you must apply by April 1. You may note factors like this on the application. To apply for travel support, complete this form. We hope to make funding decisions by the third week in April.
